Daughter (Dochters)

My hubby sent this song of Marco Borsato via email to me last night.
I like the song and the words is beautiful. If you have a daughter you should hear this and read the English lyrics I've translated. Just beautiful...
I think that's not only about how fathers feel to see his daughter has grown up, but moms too.

This is the English translation:

Quarter past seven on Sunday morning
I hear a voice very softly to me asking
Are you awake, Daddy?
Get cozy with down?
Do you just work or are you free today?
And then you go with me on stage?
Ohhh, what time is fast
Yesterday I saw her for the first time she was here in m `n arms
What she is beautiful and what is the time her
I `m n blink eyes and see how they are always a bit changed
But how big they may be
In my eyes it always remains small

Quarter past seven on Sunday morning
I hear the front door very gently opening
And I hesitate to fall asleep, she is at home
I `r much prefer to go, but she had asked me if I do not want to stand
They now find its way home

And ohh, what the time is fast
Yesterday I saw her for the first time she was here in m `n arms
What is she pretty
What's the time her
I `m n blink eyes and see how they are always a bit changed
But how big they may be
In my eyes it always remains small

And sometimes, when I `m n blind
We walk together "beach,
Her hand in mine
And then she pauses time
Is the weather just like when
And she'll need me
I love her
As she was
I love her

Quarter past seven on Sunday morning
Is it my voice that makes her gently awake
Today is your big day

What she is beautiful and what is the time her
I `m n blink eyes and see how her heart is good for another is
But wherever they may be
In mind she is here with me
In my eyes it always remains small
